Zorbas Hotel Apartments - Stavros
Location: On the northwest coast of the peninsula of Akrotiri, 14km from the center of Chania, 8,5km from the village of Kounoupidiana and 10km from the airport, we find the complex of Zorbas Hotel/Apartments, surrounded by tranquility. The nearest by village Stavros, known for the famous scenery of Zorbas the Greek dancing the Sirtaki, can also be reached easily by foot along the seaside at a walking distance of 1.200m and offers facilities for daily needs as a few tavernas and mini-markets. Its crystal clear water and sandy beach attract foreign visitors, as well as locals for a day- or weekend visit. The Zorbas Hotel/Apartment is surrounded by an attractive garden, designed in bungalow style entirely on "ground floor" level (4 steps up) divided over eight buildings and situated almost next to a sandy beach (70-120m). Fine walking possibilities in the nearby area.
Rooms: The complex consists of a total of 42 studio's and 14 2-room apts all provided with telephone and air-condition*. The studio's/ max 3 pax. are spacious and furnished with a double and a single bed or three single beds, a kitchenette, table and chairs, a separate bathroom with douche/WC and a terrace. The 2-room apts/ max. 4 pax. are almost equal, though here we find 2 single beds in the living area, a bedroom with again 2 single beds and covered balcony.
Service: Cleaning 2 x weekly. Change of linen and towels 2 x weekly.
Facilities: Reception and lounge, tennis court*, swimming pool (salt water) with connected separate children's part, deckchairs and umbrellas, pool/snackbar and children playground.
Remarks: Reservations on Room Rate basis. Baby cots* available upon request. The Zorbas complex is most suitable for clients who like to avoid the main popular tourist resorts and prefer tourism on a smaller scale. Places of interest on the peninsula of Akrotiri are the monastery of Agia Triada and the Venizelos' Tombs with outstanding view over the town of Chania.
