Areti Apartments - Megala Chorafia
Location: The Areti apartments were built in 2002 and have been in our program ever since. A beautiful view over the Bay of Souda, the tranquility of the area and the spacious garden with flowers and olive trees enormously contribute to the quality of this attractive holiday address so often chosen by clients who prefer some distance from the modern tourist resorts. The small and original village of Megala Chorafia offers a kafeneion and little square and is situated at a distance of approx. 900m. from the complex. We suggest a rental car as the city of Chania (at. approx. 15kms) and other villages and (touristy) settlements are within a fair driving distance. Very convenient and fun to visit during your stay in the area is the coastal village of Kalives (at 3,5kms) offering all services for daily needs as a supermarket, bank and taverns, together with a lovely sandy beach at the turquoise Aegean Sea.
Rooms: The Areti Apartments are divided over two buildings, consisting of (in total) 14 studio’s and 9 2-room apartments. The studios are nicely furnished with a double- or 2 single beds, kitchenette, table and chairs, separate bathroom with shower/WC and balcony or terrace. The 2-room apartments, almost similar to the studios, have instead a sleeping couch in the living room and a separate bedroom with a double- or 2 single beds. Both studios and apartments are air-conditioned and provided with a satellite TV and safety deposit box*.
Service: Cleaning 6 x weekly. Change of linen and towels 2 x weekly.
Facilities: Reception and recreation area. The swimming pool with (free) sun beds and umbrellas is surrounded by a spacious garden. A card phone is available at the reception.
Remarks: The owners and their friendly family truly represent the Cretan hospitality and will make you feel more than welcome. The entire atmosphere at the Areti Apartments will be highly appreciated by visitors longing for a quiet, natural surrounding. Reservations on Room Rate basis. Breakfast (buffet) is possible with a supplement. Baby cots are available upon request.
