Lithos House - Tzitzifes - Apokoronas
In the heart of the little old village of Tzitzifes we find the Lithos House, an authentic old village house, respectfully restored in 2004 and now comprising two separate apartments built in local architectural style. The two split-level units share one roof. The Lithos House was built halfway the 1800's and still maintains several of the original elements inside creating a unique atmosphere. The great personal interest and care of the owner for this restoration-project have resulted into two vacation units breathing an atmosphere of traditional character and style. The tranquil setting at one of the narrow village streets and the original character of the house give you the opportunity to enjoy the Cretan village life during your stay. The village of Tzitzifes in the area of Apokoronas features a little square, a kafeneion and a "Pantopoleio" (a tiny mini-market in village style). Two local taverns are situated about 700 meters of the Lithos House. Nearby villages are Fres (2 km), Vrisses (4 km) and Kalives (7 km). A prebooked car is recommended at the Lithos House.

Apartment Types
The two apartments differ just slightly in size. Each one can accommodate up to 3 persons.
Apartment "Ontas": the entrance into the cozy living room with exposed heavy Cypress-wooden ceiling beams and a terracotta tiled floor. The interior exists of a Cretan style sofa(bed) and wooden table, a kitchen-corner with refrigerator, a small cooking range with a mini oven and a coffeemaker. The bathroom has a bathtub and toilet. Via wooden stairs in the living area you reach the original loft (upper floor) called "Ontas" in the old times and recently still in use for its original purpose of sleeping area, providing a double bed and a desk.
Apartment "Patitiri": basically offers a similar interior. The old character inside is carried out by the presence of the original "Patitiri" (stone-built wine press) and decorative wood oven.
Both of the units have TV, a safety deposit box (extra charge) and air conditioning (extra charge).
A picturesque, shared vine-covered courtyard outside is furnished with a table and chairs for each of the homes and offers a most pleasant opportunity for relaxation.
