Kalivaki Studios - Georgioupolis
Location: Centrally situated at the north coast of Crete, in between the main towns of Rethymnon and Chania, we find the village and tourist resort of Georgioupolis. The giftshops, mini markets and taverns surrounding the lively square and the nice sandy beach, stretching out for many kilometers east of the village, all contribute to the popularity of this middle-sized holiday destination. Over the years many visitors of Crete have "discovered" Georgioupolis and enjoy the combination of a pleasant village together with the tranquility one experiences outside of the village enjoying the good walking opportunities. Rethymnon (25 kms) and Chania (35 kms) can be easily reached by local- or excursion bus (bus stop at the National road just outside the village) or by rental car. The Kalivaki Studios have been built on an idyllic spot, right on the beach, at a walking distance (possible along the beach) of 500m from the village. The studios are simple, but comfortable and clean and unique for its location and quiet setting.
Rooms: The complex consists of 16 studios, all with a bathroom with shower/toilet, balcony or terrace and fully equipped kitchenette.
Service: Cleaning 6 x weekly. Change of linen and towels 2 x weekly.
Facilities: Small reception, swimming pool with children area and sunbeds*/umbrellas*. A nice small tavern is located on the beach serving delicious Greek specialties (open during summer months). Sun beds* and umbrellas* on the beach right in front of the accommodation.
Remarks: Reservations on Room Rate basis. Baby cots* are available upon request. Remarkable to mention is the hospitality of the owner, Mr. Georgios, a traditional local watching over the studios and making the guests feel more than welcome.
